HSWRK Presents (“HSWRK”, “we”, “us”) promotes electronic music events including Pier Pressure, After Dark and other HSWRK Presents shows.

What We Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

ticket purchase and event attendance information;
marketing and Box Office preferences;
messages you send to us by email, WhatsApp, social media or through the website;
competition or guest-list information where relevant;
access requirements or other information you choose to give us;
technical information such as IP address, browser, device and website activity;
cookie and analytics information where you have allowed this;
photographs, video and audio captured at HSWRK events.

Ticket payments are normally handled by ticketing or payment providers. We may receive order information from them, but we do not need or intend to hold your complete payment-card details ourselves.

How We Use Your Information

We use personal information where we have a lawful reason to do so. That may include:

For example, administering tickets, guest lists, event enquiries and important information about a show.

If you contact us, we'll use the information you give us to reply.

To market HSWRK events

We may send you event announcements, ticket information and other HSWRK news where you have opted in or where we're otherwise permitted to contact you under applicable electronic-marketing rules.

You can unsubscribe at any time. Buying a ticket does not, by itself, mean that you have given blanket consent to receive marketing from us.

To run and improve the website

This includes understanding how the site is used, keeping it secure and improving how it performs.

To document and promote HSWRK events

Photography and filming are an important part of what we do. More on that below.

To protect HSWRK, our customers and our events

This may include dealing with safety issues, complaints, misuse, fraud or legal claims.

Photography & Filming at Our Events

HSWRK events are regularly photographed and filmed. That can include:

wide shots of the crowd;
people dancing;
the venue and atmosphere;
artists and DJs;
video clips and event films;
professionally recorded performances;
photographs and footage used in future HSWRK promotion.

You may therefore appear in photography or video when attending an HSWRK event.

Where somebody appears incidentally as part of a crowd or the general atmosphere of an event, we generally rely on our legitimate interests in documenting, promoting and maintaining an archive of HSWRK events.

We do not treat buying a ticket as blanket photographic consent.

We'll make reasonable efforts to let attendees know that photography and filming are taking place, including through ticket/event information and notices at the venue.

If you'd prefer not to be photographed, speak to a member of the HSWRK team or photographer at the event where practical.

If you later see a photograph or video in which you are clearly identifiable and have concerns about how it is being used, contact us with a link or screenshot and we'll review it.

Where we're specifically asking somebody to pose, take part in an interview or become the clear subject of promotional content, we may ask for separate permission.

HSWRK content may appear on:

YouTube and other video platforms;
event listings;
email marketing;
press and PR coverage;
venue or artist collaborations;
HSWRK advertising and promotional material;
retrospective and archive content.

We may retain selected event photography and films as part of the historical HSWRK archive.

Marketing

If you join our mailing list or Box Office, we'll use your contact details to send you HSWRK-related updates.

That might include: event announcements, ticket releases, line-ups, After Dark announcements, competitions and other HSWRK news.

Every marketing email will provide a way to unsubscribe. For WhatsApp or similar services, you can leave or opt out of the relevant channel or community.

We do not sell our mailing list.

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies.

Some are necessary for the website to work. Others, including analytics, advertising or third-party media cookies, should only be used where permitted and, where required, after you've made a choice through our cookie controls.

Who We Share Information With

We may use carefully selected third parties to help us run HSWRK, including:

ticketing and payment providers; venues; website and hosting providers; email and communications platforms; photographers and videographers; analytics providers; social-media and advertising platforms; professional advisers; and suppliers involved in producing our events.

Our events take place at third-party venues, including venues such as Bournemouth Pier, Aruba Beach Club and O2 Academy Bournemouth. Those venues may separately collect and use personal information under their own privacy policies.

Where required by law, we may also disclose information to regulators, law-enforcement bodies or other authorities.

International Services

Some technology, social-media, email, analytics and ticketing providers may process information outside the UK.

Where this happens, we expect appropriate legal safeguards to be used for those transfers.

How Long We Keep Information

We don't keep personal information simply because we can. How long we retain it depends on why we have it.

Ticket, transaction and financial records may need to be retained where required for accounting, tax, contractual or legal purposes.

Marketing information may be retained until you unsubscribe or we no longer have a reason to use it.

General enquiries will normally be kept only as long as reasonably necessary.

Selected photographs, recordings and films may be retained longer as part of HSWRK's event and historical archive, subject to applicable data-protection rights.
