Jethro Watson

Warm-up specialist • "Come on!" • Est. 2018

Jethro started HSWRK back in 2018. More than twenty years behind the decks, and he still plays like it's his first time in the booth.

Opening the pier is an art. Read the room, catch the afternoon sun, start slow, get the terrace moving without blowing the roof off before five o'clock. Jethro has that down to a science.

Outside of HSWRK, he's played for Elrow, ANTS, and Café Mambo, and stepped behind the decks at Ministry of Sound and Egg London. But his favourite set is still the warm-up on the pier. You'll hear him before you see him: “Come on!”

James Herkes

Closing sets • Melodic & Progressive

James joined forces with Jethro during lockdown to build HSWRK into what it is today. A DJ first, always.

When the sun goes down and the pier lights kick in, James takes over. Extended sets, dark melodic grooves, and the kind of basslines you feel in your chest. If you're still dancing at ten o'clock, that's James.

Technically sharp with a record collection that runs deep, he's presented radio shows across the south and played across Europe. But the closing set on the pier is where he belongs.
